Sage career stats

Matt Farbotko is a returning letterwinner at Sage having earned three varsity letters. A member of Sage's first men's varsity basketball team, he was named the 2009-2010 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year.

A former Gator Award winner for the team as the MVP in 2009-2010, he was also honored as the Aggie Stillman Award Winner in 2010-2011. An accomplished scholar-athlete at Sage he was named to the NABC's Honors Court as a junior.

Farbotko finished his junior season as the squad’s second leading scorer with his 9.6 ppg average, while hauling in 5.9 rpg. A 19-game starter, he played in every contest and stands atop many of the Gator career records through his three seasons in a Sage uniform. Farbotko has 831 points (1st), 312 field goals made (1st), 609 field goals attempted (1st), 51.2% FG (7th), free throws made (324 (1st), free throws attempted (324, 1st), rebounds (405, 1st), defensive rebounds (280, 1st), offensive rebounds (125, 1st), blocked shots (23, 3rd), and 67 games played (1st) with 60 starts, also first. 

Also honored for his success in the classroom, he is a multiple award winner as a member of the Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll. He opened his collegiate career as the team's leading scorer (351 points, 14.0 ppg) as a rookie, while hauling down a team-best 179 rebounds (7.2 rpg) in 25 games started.

His sophomore season was shortened by a pre-season injury but he returned to finish with a 14.2 ppg average and a 4.6 rpg average in 17 games played with 16 starts.

He finished his scholastic career as the all-time leading scorer at Northeastern Clinton H.S. and was the MVP of Section 7. A former team captain as well, he helped lead his team to a number of accomplishments.

A member of the Law and Society Club at Sage, he is majoring in law and society at Sage he is the son of John and Linda Farbotko.
